Each chef on Suppah Social can publish a meal prep menu — a rotating set of dishes you subscribe to weekly. You browse the menus on /explore, pick the chef whose food fits how you eat, choose how many meals per week (typical: 4 to 14), set your dietary preferences and allergens, and you're subscribed.
Every Monday morning at 7:00 UTC, your card is charged for the upcoming week. Your chef cooks Monday or Tuesday, and your meals are delivered or made available for pickup mid-week per their schedule. Skip a week from your dashboard, change your portion count, swap dishes — all on your terms. Cancel anytime; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid week so you're never charged for food you didn't want.
Behind the scenes: a Supabase Edge Function called charge-meal-prep runs on schedule, a separate rotation-advance cron flips chefs to the next week of their rotation, and sweep-cancelling-subs cleans up canceled subscriptions. Reliable infrastructure, low-overhead chef workflow.

Menus rotate. Each chef sets a 4-to-12-week rotation cycle, so subscribers don't eat the same meal every Tuesday for a year. Macros, calories, allergens, and ingredients are listed for every dish. Your dietary preferences and allergens are stored on your profile and matched against every menu before purchase.
Meal prep pricing is per-meal and set by the chef. Typical range: $14–$24 per meal, with the upper end reserved for premium proteins (lamb, prime cuts, wild-caught seafood) or specialty diets (full keto, low-FODMAP). The platform takes 5%; the other 95% goes to the chef. We're not Trifecta or Factor — we don't ship from a centralized facility, we don't print plastic clamshell trays, and we don't pay celebrity chefs to slap their name on someone else's recipes.
Service area is set by each chef individually. Most Boston-based chefs deliver inside a 25-mile radius of their kitchen, and many also offer pickup. If your zip isn't in any chef's service area today, you'll see "coming soon" on their profile and can opt in to be notified.
We're launching first in Boston. If you're a chef in another market who wants to be the first meal prep operator on Suppah Social in your city, apply at /join/chef.
