Payments & Payouts

How Payments Work

Transparent fees. Automatic payouts. No chasing invoices. Here's exactly how money moves on Suppah Social.

The Flow

From ticket to payout in four steps.

01

Guest Buys a Ticket

Payment is processed securely via Stripe. Your card is charged at checkout.

02

Funds Held Securely

Suppah Social holds the funds until the event is completed. No one gets paid early.

03

Chef Marks Event Complete

After all guests have left, the chef confirms the event is done. Payouts are triggered automatically.

04

Everyone Gets Paid

Chef receives 70%, Host receives 20%, Platform keeps 10%. Funds go directly to connected Stripe accounts.

Payout Timeline

When do I get paid?

After Event Completion

Transfers happen instantly after the chef marks the event complete (if the platform has available balance).

First Payout to Your Bank

7-14 business days for new Stripe Connect accounts. This is Stripe's standard verification timeline.

Ongoing Payouts

After your first payout, subsequent transfers arrive in 2 business days.

Instant Payouts

Available through Stripe for a small fee. Get your money immediately after event completion.

Powered by Stripe

Stripe Connect

We use Stripe Connect to securely handle all payments on the platform. Your money is always in safe hands.

Secure Payment Processing

All payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor trusted by millions of businesses.

Direct to Your Account

Your earnings go directly to your connected Stripe account. You control your own bank details through Stripe — we never see them.

You Own Your Data

Your bank details, payout history, and financial data are managed entirely through your Stripe dashboard.

Tax Forms Included

Stripe provides 1099 tax forms at year end for qualifying earners. No extra paperwork on your end.

For Chefs

Chef payment FAQ

When does the event need to be completed?

After all guests have left the space. You confirm completion in the app, which triggers automatic payouts.

What about ingredient advances?

After you've completed 2 events on the platform, you become eligible for ingredient advances to cover upfront costs.

What if there's a dispute?

Funds are held during the review process. Our team investigates and resolves disputes fairly.

Do I handle refunds?

No. The platform handles all refunds directly with guests. You never have to deal with refund requests.

For Hosts

Host payment FAQ

How does hybrid settlement work?

Your 20% commission minus the cost of your reserved seats equals your net payout.

If my commission covers my reserved seats?

You receive the remaining balance as a payout. For example, if your commission is $100 and reserved seats cost $60, you receive $40.

If it doesn't cover?

You pay the difference. If your commission is $40 and reserved seats cost $60, you owe $20.

When do I get my first payout?

After your first completed event. Stripe's initial verification takes 7-14 business days, then 2 business days ongoing.
